Chris was a man who knew of God and Jesus, but wasn’t interested in furthering his faith with a personal relationship with Jesus. At age nineteen, he fell to his knees at home and confessed all his sins to Jesus to become saved by grace through Jesus.
God had just begun with Chris though, as he felt instilled with a hunger and thirst to draw closer to Jesus, and to discover whom exactly the Holy Spirit was in his life.
His attendance to the charismatic church, and subsequent learning of speaking in tongues from his mother, broadened his search and guided him to being baptized by the Spirit.
Chris shares countless times the Holy Spirit led him to actions he questioned at first, but learned later was God’s answering of prayers: one being the leading of his older brother to salvation in Jesus before he died days later.
He also unites his testimony with others he has met in his faith journey that describe how they had also questioned baptism in the Holy Spirit, until God made it a reality in their lives and now their lives, like Chris’s, are led exclusively by the Spirit.
